Payments are processed by third-party payment providers such as Stripe and RevenueCat. We do not store full credit card numbers or complete payment details on our servers.

4. Department Data Role
When FireSwap is used by a fire department or other organization, the department may act as the data controller for operational information such as schedules and trade records, and FireSwap acts as a service provider processing such information on the department's behalf. Departments are responsible for ensuring their use of FireSwap complies with applicable employment policies, collective agreements, and legal requirements.
5. Data Sharing
We do not sell personal information. We may share information:
- With department managers for membership and operational purposes
- With other members solely for shift trade coordination
- With service providers such as hosting, payment processors, and analytics necessary to operate the Service
- When required by law or legal process

We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information.
- Data is encrypted in transit using industry-standard protocols
- Data is stored using infrastructure providers that maintain industry-recognized security certifications such as SOC 2

We retain account and operational data for as long as necessary to provide the Service. Trade and schedule history may be retained for administrative and audit purposes in accordance with department policies or applicable laws.
